The Board of Stewards are a group of student leaders who are responsible for helping the Chapel Office shape interactive and ecumenical worship services, lead service projects that inspire their peers to be the hands and feet of Christ, and steward weekly offering into the High Point community. We focus on service, philanthropy, worship, and community.
2019-2020, the Board of Stewards raised about $17,500 in the form of clothes and toys to the Salvation Army Angel Tree Project, providing gifts to more than 150 in-need children of the High Point community and for West End Ministries
In the fall of 2021 the BOS and the HPU Chapel Community supported 100 kids through Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program. This year was especially important to provide happiness to kids due to the tremendous amount of stress and loss that a lot of families have experienced for the past year and a half.
Students can apply to be a part of the Board of Stewards in the fall of each academic year. Members are selected based upon demonstration of leadership qualities, desire to serve and commitment to Christian discipleship.
