About
The Latin American Student Organization (LASO)'s purpose is to increase the interest and awareness of all students of High Point University to the Latin American culture, to be active in the Hispanic community through volunteer activities and meaningful events, and to encourage diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging on the HPU’s campus.
LASO is a cultural organization whose mission is to aim at assisting Latinx and Hispanic students to adjust to life at High Point University and find a place of comfort while striving to educate ourselves and the greater High Point community about Latin American/Hispanic culture, customs, and issues and combating stereotypes and bias.
LASO has the vision to connect all students by promoting Latin American culture, establishing an opportunity for education, cultural enrichment, and social opportunities.
